Joseph Franklin Shry's Obituary
Joseph “Joe” Franklin Shry passed away on January 18, 2019 from a heart attack. Born June 17, 1952 in Leesburg, Virginia, Joe is survived by his wife and love of his life Joann, his daughter Ariel, his sisters Connie Isaacs and Amy Borror, two grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Brownie, and his wife Rose.
Joe grew up on his family farm in Lucketts and as a young man greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. A lifelong learner, Joe loved to read and also enjoyed playing games with friends on the computer or around the table with a deck of cards. He was a member of the Winchester Moose Lodge, Chapter 1367, and enjoyed spending many nights at the lodge with his friends. Joe had a big heart and was always there for his friends and family when called upon.
Friends may call on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 6-8pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA where a service will be held on Wednesday, January 23 at 1:00pm with interment to follow at Union Cemetery in Leesburg,VA.
