Justin Daniel Volentine's Obituary
Justin Daniel Volentine, 48, beloved son of John C. and Paula M. Volentine, died unexpectedly on June 8, 2022. Growing up, Justin loved all sports. He ran track, played football and baseball, before opting to concentrate his efforts on wrestling. He attended Benjamin Franklin Middle School and Oakton High School, where he won the district and regional championships in wrestling. After graduating from NC State in 1996, Justin went on to become a successful loan officer at Intercoastal Mortgage and Movement Mortgage. He enjoyed boating with friends, playing pickle ball, watching soccer games and Washington Capitals hockey. Justin was gregarious, fun-loving, generous, forgiving, loyal and just an all-around good guy.
In addition to his parents, Justin is survived by siblings Adam Volentine (Ellie), John Volentine (Diane), Marie Furlong (Mark), Vicky Brooks (Erik), Katrina Hetzer (John) and Rachel Johnson (Jay). He was "favorite uncle" to numerous nieces and nephews and a caring friend to all who knew him.
A memorial service in celebration of Justin's life will be held on Friday, June 24 at 7 pm. Friends and family are welcome to arrive as early as 5 pm for a time of visitation and light refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that donations be made to the Salvation Army or Wounded Warriors.
