Kenneth “Ken” Joseph Levesque, age 47 of Leesburg, Virginia, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Ken was born on February 20, 1964 in Bristol, Connecticut, and he was the oldest of four children. He is survived by his wife Shirley J Read Obituary
There are no words to convey my sadness at Ken's passing. My love and prayers go out to Shirley, Paul and Andy as well as the rest of Ken's family.
It is said that "a friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and sings it back to you when you have forgotten how it goes." Kenny was that kind of friend. I met Kenny in high school and we played on the baseball team together. I was immediately drawn to his big smile and great sense of humor. He was a wonderful person and a great friend. My heart breaks for my dearest friend Shirley and her boys Paul and Andy, Ken's parents Lorraine and Paul, his sisters Paula, Michelle & Aloise and the rest of his extended family and friends. When Shirley first started dating Ken, I used to tag along on their dates occasionally (I'm sure to Ken's dismay!), and I was always impressed by how affectionate he was with Shirley. Ken was like a big kid, bringing her a stuffed animal on each date, always joking around and making you laugh. He was so proud of his boys and so good with all kids. When I would visit with my kids, Ken would take all the kids hiking or to Harpers Ferry so us girls could visit. I went to St Paul High School with "Kenny" and sat behind/ next to him for 4 years because our names were so close alphabetically and we took a lot of the same classes. I will always remember him as a sensitive and funny guy with a big smile and a peter pan personality. He was rarely serious, often joking and acting goofy to lighten the moods of those around him.
I ran into him outside of stop and shop in Bristol, CT a long time ago, and he told me how he was married and had a family too, and how happily busy his life was.
I was so happy that his life turned out well. My memories of Kenny will always make me smile. I hope his family will be comforted by happy memories too. I am so sorry for the loss of his life. I pray for your peace.##imported-begin##Dawn McCarthy##imported-end##
