Kenneth Joseph Levesque's Obituary
Kenneth “Ken” Joseph Levesque, age 47 of Leesburg, Virginia, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Ken was born on February 20, 1964 in Bristol, Connecticut, and he was the oldest of four children.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Jean Varnell Levesque of Leesburg, Virginia; his sons Paul James Levesque and Andrew Joseph Levesque of Leesburg, Virginia; his parents Paul Norman Levesque and Lorraine Grudzien Levesque of Columbus, Ohio; his sisters Paula Levesque Seamon of West Chester, Ohio, Michelle Levesque of Plano, Texas and Aloise Levesque of New York, New York.
Extended family including brother-in-law: Michael Seamon and niece Danielle, nephews, William and Benjamin; brother-in-law, Howard Ford and nephew, James and niece, Adrianne; sister-in-law, Karan (Varnell) and her husband David Barnes and nieces, Wendi and Kristy and nephew, David; sister-in-law, Linda (Varnell) and husband Kenneth Grace; sister-in-law, Patricia (Varnell) and her husband Thomas Huba and nieces Laran and Lindsey; Sandra (Varnell) and husband Joseph Cumpston and nephew Bill.
Ken graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, and received a Master of Science from the G.M.C. Whitney School of Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University. He was employed with UNISYS as a training development manager.
Ken was a “big kid” and a handyman. He loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them through boy scouts, vacations and board games. Ken also had a love for animals, and he volunteered much of his time to animal causes and shelters. Ken enjoyed watching and playing sports including baseball, football and biking, and he followed an active lifestyle. He also took joy in leisurely reading and appreciated a wide variety of music, especially the Beatles.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia.
Funeral Services will follow on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 10:30 AM.
Interment will be held privately at a later date.
