I am so deeply saddened to learn of Laura’s passing.

I got to know Laura when I was the Director of the advocacy program at the Arc of Loudoun. Laura took part in many of the adult events we put on and I enjoyed getting to know her and chatting with her. She had an INCREDIBLE memory and a sense of humor. She was smart. I saw her walking every day and after leaving the Arc, I ran into all the time at Giant and we would always stop and chat. I really loved her and always left our convos smiling and feeling a little better about the world. My deepest condolences to her family.

I love you Laura. You were one of the most faithful friends I have ever had. I met you over 35 years ago! You were at my wedding and I have a picture of you in a purple dress which was your favorite color! I will miss our monthly outings of many years. I am so glad that I had the privilege of celebrating your 59th birthday with you! We had a great afternoon sharing pizza and you greeting all the staff at Manhattan Pizza by name! In fact, you knew the names of most of the staff you met while browsing the stores on your daily walks. I know you are resting in a better place, free from the troubles of this world.
