Laura Ruth Boyd's Obituary
Laura Ruth Boyd, 59 of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at her home.
She was born Sunday, February 21, 1965 in Buffalo, NY to the late John and Patricia Boyd. Laura was a member of the Girl Scouts and earned the First Class rank. Laura was very passionate about swimming as a member of the Sterling Park Swim team and won a bronze medal in the 1991 Special Olympics in the 100-meter Freestyle.
Laura is survived by her siblings Sharon and Kent, sister-in-law Annette, niece Rebecca and other family and friends.
A private inurnment will be held in Albuquerque, NM at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to ECHO where Laura worked for over 38 years.
