I was Lisa's veterinarian. She loved her cats almost as much as she loved Mark, and even when she wasn't feeling good, she still made a point to come in to take part in how her little felines were doing. Most amazingly, she always asked how other people were doing, focusing more on the welfare of others than on herself. What an amazing woman. We will miss her, but I will always remember her smiling face and unbelievable grace. Thank you Lord for gracing us with Lisa's presence and her shining example of living a worthy life.

I knew Lisa from Bethel Lutheran Church. We were in the youth group and choir together. She, Todd, Scott, my sister Carla and I would go to the Pizza Hut in Manassas after choir or youth group. We would order our pizza and while we waited, we were never embarrassed to belt out a song that we were working on in choir. Regardless of who was around. Carla and Lisa were altos, I think Todd is tenor, Scott is bass and I'm soprano. We had our own little choir and were not shy at all to sing out for the Lord.
Although we haven't spent time together since graduation, I often thought about how close our families were and how much I missed them. Lisa and my sister Carla had a special friendship. Lisa was always one to be so loving and accepting of anyone new and always open to making you feel like she'd known you forever, even if she just met you. I'll miss her.

Dear Mark,

Even though I hadn't had the pleasure meeting Lisa; to see your face when you spoke of her has always made my heart melt. I could feel the love that you both had for each other through your words. Understanding the struggles you and Lisa have had; I've always admired the fight from you both. Thank you both so much for sharing your story because it has given me strength to fight my own fight. You and Lisa will for ever be in my heart and prayers. I will keep in touch!

I met Lisa in the summer of 1962. I had been busting with pride when I became her aunt at age 10 that year. I only saw her randomly through many years, but the past four years I was so happy to get to know her better. I always knew that she and her siblings, Scott, Todd, and Kim would be awesome people because of how their parents would raise them. My heart goes out to Mark now, but I know that you have many great memories of your life with our dear Lisa Beth.

I met Lisa at work (MITRE) over 25 years ago. I actually ran into Lisa and Mark in Leesburg a few months ago. We had a chance to chat for a few minutes and I'm so glad I had that chance. Lisa's smile and outgoing personality will be missed. Rest in Peace Lisa.

I am forever thankful that Lisa had Mark by her side. I truly hope that Mark knows that he was her magnetic north, he was her coach, her guiding light and her constant comfort and inspiration. The two of you had a love like no other. I will miss Lisa dearly, she was a wonderful person and I always looked forward to hearing from her and spending time with her. Her spirit and faith were strong and will always be an inspiration for me. My heart and prayers go out to Mark and Lisa's family.
