To all of Mary's family, I had the pleasure of working with Mary during her years at Hospice. Not only was she a wonderful care giver to her patients, but also to all of us who worked with her. She was a true friend, loved her work and loved all of her family. She shared so many loving stories of all her family that I felt like I knew all of you. She just loved and was so proud of all of her grandchildren who were close in age to my children so that we always had things in common besides the work of the inpatient unit. I know you will greatly miss her, but you all will have such beautiful memories to keep her close to your hearts.

Dear Simmons Family, though we were unable to attend her memorial service Mary was ever in our thoughts. She was a dear neighbor for so many years and we have missed her since she had to move. Her beloved home will always be "Mary's House" no matter who lives there. As Ray plants his garden this spring he plans to put in one extra tomato plant just for her! God bless you all. I have fond memories of the Simmons family. My brother, Roger and I lived down the street from the Simmons on Wakefield St. in Arlington where we all grew up. I am so sorry to hear of Mary's passing and send my sincere condolences to her children, David, Janet & Eric.

I, too, was a Head Nurse at Arlington Hospital for many, many years and Mary was a very special friend and mentor. I remember her for her gentle humor as well as her commitment to nursing in general and most especially her devotion to her patients.
