Mary Millett Simmons' Obituary
Mary Millett Simmons, 92 of Leesburg, Virginia died on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Spring Arbor of Leesburg, Virginia.
Mary was born on Sunday, August 22, 1920 in Utica, New York. She was the only child of the late Frank Millett and the late Lulu May Archibald Millett.
Mary was a registered nurse and worked with Arlington Hospital as a head nurse for many years until retiring in 1996. Following her retirement, she continued nursing in the acute care unit of the Halquist Memorial Capital Hospice in Arlington, VA.
She is survived by her three children, Eric Charles Simmons of Magnolia, DE, daughter, Janet Lynn Rhudy of Ashburn, VA, and David Bruce Simmons of Alexandria, VA; as well as 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175 with the Rev. Cary Johnson officiating.
Interment will be held privately at a later date in Salem, Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Capital Caring 2900 Telestar Court Falls Church, VA 22042.
