Dear Leon and O'Donnell family,
You gave her such love, attention, care, laughter, support, and faith. I was blessed to give Maureen Holy Communion for 10 weeks. I called it, "Mondays with Maureen" from the best-selling novel. I learned alot about life and death with a smile from her. I learned she wasn't angry, or bitter about her cross. She accepted God's will with such humility too. What a gentle spirit.
She was so proud of all her kids achievements in Lacrosse and academics. She said she never had to worry about them.
Her Mom was always hovering around her until the end. What an example of courage in the face of pain.
You have an amazing family to have such an outpouring of sympathy expressed. That tells you the kind of lady Maureen was.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences in this devastating time, both for yourself and your children. You are in our hearts and prayers, and we can only say on the good side that the suffering and pain are over as God has taken her to His side where she waits for you.
You were her rock and foundation throughout the process, and though your long fight is over, she shall forever be in your hearts, as a loving wife and mother. You gave her much more in the way of time, of quality of life, and sheer determination, the truly perfect caregiver. I admire your grit and persistence up to the very end. You will never regret that.
Time and God heal these wounds. She will never truly leave you, but will be there in your hearts for the rest of your lives.
