Mercedes will be greatly missed by me, and our family. She was a great sister-in-law, she comforted me in times of sadness, when my own husband passed away ( her brother). She was there to see me through times of illness, and other trials. I am going to miss recieving her calls, and hearing her voice. I pray that she is in a better place, and that God has her surrounded by loved ones that have also passed. With much love and condolences. Tia Mercedes, Tia meaning aunt in spanish, was an anchor in my life. Whenever I spoke with her she so inspired me. She has been such an inspiration in my life. Her strength, her love, her cooking...one can never forget her cooking. Her love for the Lord showed in every encouraging word she said to me. Her strong faith is the foundation for the strong, loving, giving person that she continues to be in heaven. I look forward to the glorious reunion with her and other family there. I can see her dancing on the streets of gold off her wheelchair. Dancing with her faithful husband and family and my Dad and the Lord. As my then 5 year old said to her when we left after a visit. I'll never forget you. What a legacy Alex and Kris and the grandchildren inherited. We walk with you in your sorrowfrom a physical distance far away, but in our hearts and spirit very near. I had the blessing of meeting Mercedes twenty six years ago. I was just a young girl when I met her. It was an honor to have known her. She was a very loving and giving person. The knowledge of life that she had shared with me will always be remembered. I loved her so much. I didn't get to see her but just a week before she left to go be with our creator I had the opprotunity to speak with her once again. We've shared so many conversations over the years and for that I am very grateful. Many Memories over the years with the family. I will miss her terribly she helped me trough a very difficult situation in my life not only was she an aunt through marriage but also a friend. I loved her very much and will miss her even more than words could say. My regards to Alex,Kris and family for being there for her.
