Minnie Carol Calhoun's Obituary
MINNIE CAROL CALHOUN, 91, of Leesburg, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on December 4th 2011. Mrs. Calhoun was born August 6th 1920 in Carroll County, VA to the late John Henry and Printa Okie Quesenberry. Her husband, Hencil Mervin Calhoun, two sons: Carl and Mervin Frances Calhoun and nine siblings predeceased her. One of 11 children she moved to Leesburg during the 1930’s. Mrs. Calhoun provided domestic services to many families in Leesburg including the family of General George C. Marshall at Dodonna Mannor. She was a very loving and kind woman that enjoyed providing assistance too many individuals and families over the years. Mrs. Calhoun enjoyed being active and social even in her final days.
Mrs. Calhoun is survived by her son: Bruce Franklin Calhoun (wife Linda) of Fairfield, PA; sister: Helen Edwards; two grandchildren: Mervin Calhoun and Patricia Staples (husband Mac); seven great children and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Wednesday, December 7th 2012 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg from noon until time of services at 1:00PM with Rev. Cary Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Leesburg Union Cemetery.
