I feel so blessed to have had Pat as my brother-in-law for the past 33 years. He was my husband, Jim’s, best friend for over 40 years. Our kids loved Uncle Pat. Their spouses and their friends loved Uncle Pat. We’ve lived next door to each other for the past 20 years. We raised our families together. We had a special friendship and we all loved him dearly.
Pat was kind, caring, and so much fun to be around. He treasured family and friendship and treated everyone like they were his best friend. He always had a smile on his face and he always made us laugh. While fighting cancer, Pat continued to be a great family man, worked, surfed, golfed, traveled, enjoyed a few beers with family and friends, laughed, and lived life to its fullest each day. He was amazing even during the toughest of times.
Pat’s gone. So now what do we do? We believe and trust in God’s plan. We live life to its fullest as Pat would want us to. We treat people with respect, we act kind toward each other, we smile, we care, and we treat people like they are our best friend. We act more like Pat … and the world will be a better place.
Until we meet again ... you were truly loved and will be greatly missed.
