I have never had the pleasure of meeting you but I believe your son, Paul comes close to embodying many of your fine attributes. He, like you rejoices in his wonderful family, and is endowed with a grand sense of humor and appreciation of all that is good in his life.

I can think of no finer tribute to you than to realize you have raised such a wonderful young man, your son Paul ~ and been a great strength for all of the family

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the Lanigan family today.

I did not know Mr. Lanigan personally, but I work with his son Paul and came to know him much better this past year.

Paul's strong character, honesty, and integrity are traits that are passed down through family and I know how much he loved his dad.

To the Lanigan family,

Although Robert and Megan did not meet Mr. Lanigan he lives to them through the many stories which Mary has told about her dad. Many of these stories I'm sure will be repeated making his memory one which will live on.

As for myself upon meeting Mr. Lanigan for the first time he made a lasting impression on me but that could have been because he was working on his car at the time which spurted a stream of gas towards him and the lit cigarette in his mouth! I thought for sure this would be the one and only time I'd meet him! However, he survived and I was lucky to get to be entertained both by his amazing stories and by his larger than life personality.

Although he is no longer with us in person he will always live in the hearts of his family and all of those whose lives he touched.

I only had the pleasure of being around Mr. Lanigan just a few times over the years when I was at Lauri and Paul's house, but it was easy to see that he was charming and funny and that his son Paul shares the same wonderful character as Mr. Lanigan. I will never stop loving my grandpa.I know he will never stop loving me. He was my favorite grandpa. I even came up with a special name just for him,Papi.

I am so blessed to have had Papi as a part of my life for 23 years....I cherish every memory I have with him. He taught me how to laugh at myself and at situations, he taught me not to take things so seriously when at 16 years old everything seemed serious, he brought so much happiness to those around him and loved to make people laugh and smile. A better sense of humor is tough to find...he had a gift :). He was my father in law but became another father, so I was doubly blessed! I will always love him and I will miss him.
