Paul Willard Moskal's Obituary
Paul Willard Moskal, 68, died peacefully in his home in Chantilly, Virginia, on February 28, 2021.
Paul was born on April 26, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the eldest child of six to Francis and Florence Moskal. Paul graduated from The University of Nebraska at Omaha where he met the love of his life, Mary. The two were married in 1975 and graduated in 1976. Shortly thereafter, he was sworn in as an officer in the United States Air Force where he rose to the rank of Major before retiring with a distinguished service record in 1994. Paul and Mary raised three incredible children together, Christopher (Kelly), Kimberly (CJ) Hirt and Samantha (Eric) MacMartin.
Paul's 20 years of service in the military took him all over the world but his favorite place was always with his family, immediate or extended. He enjoyed nature, “his” music, art and history but was happiest at Lake Anna, Virginia.
Paul is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren Madeline, Emersyn, & Liam; his siblings Merrily (Bubs), Frank (Caryn), GayLynn, and Becky (Jeff); many wonderful Cronin in-laws; and many awesome nieces and nephews from his and Mary's families. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Thomas (Sandy.)
In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution to one of Paul’s favorite charities, AMVET National Service Foundation. They provide Veterans, their families and survivors world-class counsel and representation. Visit https://amvetsnsf.org/donations/ for more information.
There will be a visitation from 11am - 12pm, followed by a short service (available virtually) on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia.
