Phillip Thomas Vigil's Obituary
Phillip Thomas Vigil, 68 of Leesburg, Virginia, passed on Friday, June 7, 2019.
Born Sunday, November 26, 1950, in New Mexico, he was a son of the late Jose Vigil and the late Evangelina Herrera Vigil.
Phillip served his country in the United States Army, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Upon his completion of the Army continued a career in government services and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller, System Command Center, US NOTAMS Office.
He leaves his family to cherish his memory including sisters Virginia Huffman, Mary Frances Edoff, and brothers Ernie, Robert, Walter Vigil and Eddie Herrera; close friend, Gloria George of Leesburg, VA.
Mass for Catholic burial will be heard at Saint John the Apostle, Leesburg, VA at 9:30am, Friday June 14.
Immediately following the mass, Graveside services with military honors will begin at 12 noon on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Phillip T. Vigil’s memory to American Diabetes Association PO Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.
