As Rick reminded me last week, he taught me many valuable "life lessons" in such a way only my big brother could do. He was kind and supportive to anyone trying to do the right thing.
Rick taught me how to play "hoops" and never hesitated to accept a challenge to a friendly, yet competitive, neighborhood game with his "little sister" in tow.
Rick remained resilient and strong in the face of any adversity throughout his life. He fought the fight of his disease for over a year and through the bitter end. He never complained and always had a kind word to say to people around him.
