Rest easy my friend.
Roel and Kathy were great neighbors and friends while we lived in Lovettsville. Their warm hearts and spirit welcomed us to the neighborhood when we moved in 1996. The memories we created will always be cherished in our hearts. Roel put his many skills and mark on our house when we remodeled. Always lending a helpful hand and good laugh were things we could count on and appreciated every time he contributed when we needed help.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

It was such sad news to hear about our dear friend and neighbor "Roel". He was Jack of all trades and anytime you needed things done you could call on him and he would be there. Everywhere we look in our house we can see so many things he had done for us, and he was so good at what he would do. He will be so missed as our friend and neighbor. RIP ROEL
Rough, tough and gruff on the outside. Heart of gold and kindness in the inside. Rest In Peace Roel.

Roel was always there when you needed him. He was a loyal nephew to my sister, Barbara Frye, always checking to make sure she was "okay" and there to help her with her plumbing needs, change a light bulb and multiple other jobs. I came home one winter Sunday with approximately a foot and a half snow in my driveway unable to get in. I called Barb and ask her to call Roel to see if he could clear my driveway. In no time at all, Roel to the rescue!!!!!. RIP dear friend. You will be missed by many!!!

Dear Roel,
We've only met a couple of times, with intervals of some twenty years. But I'll never forget your and Kathy's hospitality and our visit to the RFK-stadium to see the Redskins.
Thank you for making me feel family.
