Ruth Boone Judd's Obituary
RUTH BOONE JUDD, 97, longtime resident of Ashburn, VA died on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in Leesburg, VA. Mrs. Judd was born May 11, 1915, in Ronceverte, WV to the late Darius W. and Ila Mae Bennette Honaker. She moved to Loudoun County in 1939 and worked with the Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers Assoc. until her retirement in 1983. Mrs. Judd was very active with her church, Ashburn Presbyterian Church. She joined in 1943 and served in many capacities from the janitor to a Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Judd was a member of the Presbyterian Woman’s Club and the Senior Citizens Club in Ashburn. She volunteered with Ashburn Community Service, Loudoun Long Term Care, and most recently with the chaplaincy program at INOVA Loudoun Hospital until she was 94.
Mrs. Judd is survived by her two children: Daniel Boone (Cathy) of Lewisburg, WV, Patricia Heinrich of Palmetto, FL; six grandsons, 2 great grandsons and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Oscar Boone in 1973 and her second husband John R. Judd in 1985.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday May 18, 2013 at the Ashburn Presbyterian Church, 20962 Ashburn Road, Ashburn, Virginia 20147 with Pastor John Peterson officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ashburn Presbyterian Church.
