My heart aches hearing news of the passing of Ryan, one of my best friends and my neighbor. Ryan was there for me during one of the most difficult and transitional times in my life. He was a genuine and kind hearted individual that was instrumental in getting me back on my feet. I had drained all my cash, lost my apartment, lost my possessions, lost many of my close friends and had moved back to Northern Virginia. My outlook on life was bleak at this point. After coming back to Northern Virginia amongst so many failures, Ryan was there for me. He provided a job for me at Seiko but more importantly he provided his friendship that ultimately improved my diminished self confidence. He made me realize that true friends pick each other up, dust each other off and truck on when times get difficult. To the Foster Family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I want you to know that I will always think of Ryan in my mind and in my heart. I also want you to know that you can contact me for anything that you need. To Ryan: I'll see you again, when I see you, we're going to play a lot of backyard football man. Be at peace my friend.
Sincerely,
Adam Shaw
