Carole Maccafffray Keller
In memory of our brother Stuart
It is a great comfort knowing that his first Christmas in heaven was spent with his Heavenly Father and family.
As a Navy family, we grew up close. He always protected his two little sisters. He was my Mom’s “Go to” babysitter and the “little man” of the house when Dad was gone. I cherish the memories of adventures that he led us on in Hawaii and Massachusetts when we were young. He loved children even as a child and made a career gently teaching and touching the lives of his students and their families in Northern Virginia. My brother once told me that whenever he went to the Mall, he could count on seeing some of his students, now grown up with families of their own and the pride he felt in being a part of their lives.
Our brother graduated from Admiral Arthur W. Radford High School in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1961 and after two years of prep school in Washington, DC, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts and his Master’s degree from Virginia Tech.
Stuart is also survived by his two sons, Sean Michael MacCaffray and his wife Mary, grandson Devon and granddaughter Reagan; and Patrick Allan MacCaffray; his mother Helen G. (Chapski) MacCaffray; his two sisters, Carole Keller and Nancy Church; his nieces and nephew; his great nieces and nephews; his cousins; and the rest of his family and friends.
Stuart was preceded in death by our Dad, Cdr. Stuart A. MacCaffray (USN).
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory that no one can steal.
