Thomas Joe Hackney's Obituary
THOMAS JOE HACKNEY, 75, of Paeonian Springs, Virginia passed away with his family at his side on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg, Virginia.
Born Thursday, October 28, 1948 in Leesburg, Virginia to the late James Cole Hackney and Mildred Alberta Hackney. He was one of ten children.
Tom leaves behind his loving family, including his wife of 55 years, Sandra Hackney, a daughter, Tammy Smith (Michael) of Hamilton, VA, three sons, Thomas Christopher Hackney of Leesburg, VA, James Travis Hackney of Inwood, WV and Brian Jason Hackney (Nickole) of Purcellville, VA and nine grandchildren, Sarah Contreras (Luis), Travis Hackney, Brett Gourley, Brooke Hackney, Kaylynn Smith, Taylor Hackney, Drew Hackney, Camryn Hackney and Kyren Hackney. He is also survived by a sister, Carol Hopkins of Jacksonville, FL and a brother, Ronald Hackney of Paeonian Springs, VA, along with a host of family and friends which are too numerous to mention.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 5-8PM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Cir. SE Leesburg, VA 20175.
A service will follow on Saturday, April 13, 2024, beginning at 11:00AM at Cornerstone Chapel 650 Battlefield Pkwy SE, Leesburg, VA 20175. Guests are welcome to arrive at the church at 10:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s honor to Hero Homes Loudoun or Boulder Crest Foundation.
