Thomas G. Mettberg, 58, of Leesburg, Virginia died on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.
Thomas was born on Friday, December 31, 1954 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Raymond Mettberg and the late Agnes Shaw Mettberg.
He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dicksinson University, Teaneck, NJ with an Associates Degree in Sociology and Computer Science.
Tom was employed by the U. S. Postal Service for 35 years as a Post Master in Middleburg, Leesburg, Haymarket and currently Merrifield, VA.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 30 years, Theresa Rispoli of Leesburg; sister, Doris Crotty of Secaucus, NJ; niece and nephew Melissa & James Crotty; mother-in-law: Norma A. Rispoli of Ridgewood, NJ; sister-in-law, Debbie & Bill Gattoni, and nephews Will & Mike of Wyckoff, N.J.; brother-in-law: Dave & Karen Rispoli and nephews Anthony & John of Ridgewood, N.J.; brother-in-law, Art & Cathy Rispoli of Queen Creek, AZ; and niece, Sherri Rispoli.
The family will receive guests on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6 to 9 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will be held privately at a later date.
