I had the pleasure of co-teaching with Tom at Hughes MS for many years (first in English, then in science). So many memories! Like how he'd go for walks through the woods and constantly return with "treasures" - bones, feathers, cool fungi - for our class museum. Like how he'd secret food in drawers around the room so that he'd always have something to snack on. (I'm still finding power bars in remote corners!) Like how he'd dress up as Einstein every Halloween, much to the delight of his students. Starting about March of every year, he'd go into "swim coach" mode: how he loved being able to share his passion for swimming with members of the his community ... almost as much as he loved the opportunity to work alongside his daughters! He was endowed with a wonderful sense of curiosity and a gift for setting people at ease, qualities I greatly admired, and he took advantage of every opportunity he could find to boast about the achievements of his family. I'm glad to have so many happy memories to pass on, and to remember him by in the years to come. My condolences to all of you on the loss of a special soul.
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Tom for one year and he always had something kind or funny to say. He will be missed by many.

I was looking forward to having Coach Tom for my sons but we just missed him with the Bettas. He hired me into LCPS back in his role as AP at Eagle Ridge and I always appreciated his happy and caring nature. Much love to the Pollocks.
