Thomas Adam Pollock
June 16, 1966 - March 20, 2023
Thomas “Tom” Adam Pollock, 56, of Ashburn, VA passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. Tom was the middle son of the late Charles Pollock and Jeanette Sakel Pollock.
Tom spent the majority of his life in Northern Virginia. After graduating from Virginia Tech as a collegiate swimmer, he returned to NOVA to share his passion for swimming as a coach and start his career in education. Tom served many roles in the field of education, but he most enjoyed his role as a special education teacher. He spent his last ten years at Langston Hughes Middle School as a special education teacher. When Tom wasn’t at school or on the pool deck, you could find him at his children’s sporting events, attending operas and local school musicals, drawing, watching Washington Sport Teams with his children or enjoying the outdoors. Tom could be referred to as a master chaperon as he never missed the opportunity to volunteer to chaperon on his children’s school field trips.
Tom is survived by his four children: Kaitlyn, Karleigh, Colin and Claire as well as his brothers Neil and Peter and his former wife Kathleen Pollock.
A funeral mass will begin at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 27, 2023, at St. Theresa Catholic Church located at 21371 St. Theresa Lane Ashburn, Virginia 20147, with the Father John O'Farrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Loudoun Club 12 PO Box 506 Leesburg, VA 20178.
