Ronnie Byers
We were just about to send out Christmas cards this year and, trying to verify his address, discovered Tyler's obituary, a very sad thing to see. I grew up with Tyler, going to elementary school and high school with him in Fairfax. We flew model airplanes together and generally got into some fun mischief with minibikes and motorcycles and finally cars.
I sent him a note last year to say that he figured prominently as a character in my novel, The House Across the Street. I never heard back from him. Another of his friends and I were just discussing him at Thanksgiving, laughing about some of our mutual misadventures. He was a great guy and a fun character with a dry and sometimes pleasantly warped sense of humor.
I pray that the Lord welcomed him home.
