Tyler Charles Ake's Obituary
Tyler Charles Ake, 70, of Sterling, VA passed away July 16, 2020.
Born April 12, 1950, Tyler was the second child of Charles Henry Ake, Jr. and Freda Steele Ake. He is survived by his sister, Diana Wise (Steve) and his brother, Tracy A. Ake (Lisa). Tyler grew up in Fairfax, VA where he graduated from Fairfax High School and Northern Virginia Community College.
Because of his interest in all things mechanical he worked and retired from Stohlman Volkswagen. He was a private pilot and helped in maintaining aircraft for the Blue Ridge Flying Club. His craftsmanship was impressive when he pursued building peddle planes. The last few years he enjoyed waiting on customers and trading flying stories at The Hobby Hanger in Chantilly, VA.
