I wanted to tell this story at the funeral - but had laryngitis and couldn’t talk.... So I’ll put it here. When we were kids Bill was riding us down the alley in his newspaper wagon and we crashed. I skinned up my ankle. He took me in and wrapped it - then poured Iodine on it. A day or so later a red line started creeping up my leg - I had blood poisoning and they rushed me to the hospital. Later we were playing Monopoly at his house, and I can remember the little kids [Marsh, Deano, Ann and Frank] felt so sorry for me they kept slipping me Monopoly money under the table. We have 4 nurses in the family currently, but I’m pretty sure they didn’t get their first aid aptitude from Bill. He was good with money though... That was one of the only times I beat him..
