William von Berg's Obituary
Mr. William George von Berg, Jr., 60, of Sterling, VA, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008 at home with his family by his side.
William was born in Rochester, NY on July 28, 1948. He is the son of William G. von Berg, Sr. and Barbara J. von Berg of Rochester, NY.
William served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.
He spent the majority of his professional career as a financial advisor, most recently with PNC Investments. Prior to that, he worked with Wachovia Securities and Morgan Stanley.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Mary J. von Berg of Sterling; his 2 sons: Michael S. von Berg, his wife Daniella and granddaughter Sydney all of Ashburn, VA, and Steven R. von Berg of Arlington, VA. He is also survived by two sisters: Carol von Berg and Chris Hall of Rochester, NY; and his brother: Steven von Berg of Rochester, NY.
He was predeceased by a sister: Susan von Berg.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 1, 2008 where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2008 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032-1903.
