Winslow Williams Jr.'s Obituary
Win died at home on March 18, 2015, at the age of 75, surrounded by his wife and daughters. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon; his daughters, Andrea & Cheryl; his brother, Harrison Williams III; and his sister, Constance Williams deBordenave.
Win was born on December 4, 1939 in Winchester, Virginia to Winslow and Helen Moore Williams. After graduating from high school, Win entered the U.S. Navy. He remained in the Navy for 7 years. It was while Win was on his way to Vietnam that his ship docked in Hawaii for Christmas. There he met Sharon, who was visiting from Regina, Saskatchewan. Win was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1966. He married Sharon in 1967. Win obtained his degree from American University. During his career, Win worked for Western Electric, Amtrak, C&P Telephone, and he retired from AT&T. Win had a passion for history and enjoyed travelling with his family.
A memorial service was held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Kleiber and Pastor Neubauer officiating.
Burial followed at Leesburg Union Cemetery.
